Handy Pubs for Thirsk Racegoers

Thirsk Racegoers should lunch at The Three Tuns, a grade II listed building, built in 1698, which was Thirsk's only coaching inn. The London & Edinburgh coaches all stopped at The Three Tuns where the original mangers, stalls and hay lofts can still be seen. In 1802, the poet William Wordsworth and sister, Dorothy, stayed overnight at The Three Tuns now a J D Wetherspoon Pub.
